Seoul - Gyeongbokgung Palace, Ehwa Womans University, Bukchon Hanbok Village

 We went to the Gyeongbokgung Palace on Tuesday, 4 July 2023. Unfortunately, it was closed.  So we went to the National Palace Museum of Korea, which is opposite the Palace to learn about the History of the Josen Dynasty, (AD 1392 - 1910) an ended with Korea being annexed by Japan. 

We visited the Ehwa Womans University. The university is very spacious and the level at dug-in with multi-level basement.

As the university is restricted to tourist, we could only view the place at the outskirt.

On Friday, 7 July, we visited the Gyeongbokgung Palace. The hanbok were rented at the shops outside the palace. Those wearing hanbok will have free entrance. Entrance fees is 3000Kwon.

Most of the palace rooms are out of bound to visitors. We could only walk along the corridors.

In the afternoon, we went to the Bukchon Hanbok village. The village still maintain the traditional houses.

There is a small shop selling fragrance perfume and aroma incenses. Behind the shop has a writer's corner which is very relaxing. The shop name is "Sometime you win, sometime you learn"

The was very hot and so, the family enjoyed some ice-cream!

Leaving for Korea tour

 Right now sitting at Changi Airport Terminal 3 for departure on Korea Airline TW172. Another 2 hour as schedule flight takeoff is 1:55am.

Arrived at Seoul airport at about 9am. Seoul's time is one hour ahead of Singapore. Entry to immigration is by using QR Code.

Just at the exit of the custom, there is a Nice to CU shop where we bought T-money card and breakfast

Then we took the Seoul Rail to Seoul Station and then the Seoul Metro to our hotel in Myeong-dong.

Behind our hotel, there is the Myeong-dong Cathedral constructed in 1892. It was their rehearsal time when we went into the chapel @5pm.

There after, we left for dinner at walk around the shopping area in Myeong-dong.
